Just a couple of photos of what I'm up to this week:
Yes, it's a Swallowtail Shawl. Started May 18th, that's the progress as of yesterday, though last night I did make it part-way up the second Lily of the Valley chart. It doesn't look like much now, but it'll look fabulous after blocking. Though I wish the colour in the photos really was the colour, it's got a lot more yellow in it.

You may have given me the impetus to forge on with my swallowtail. On second thought, no. I can hear it taunting me from the back of the closet where I lovingly placed it until I can learn to count.
Please post more photos to bolster my courage to continue. Yours will be beautiful.

Counting is useful, and so is really being able to read the pattern so you catch mistakes as soon as they're made.
I've made this once before, so I'm already familiar with the pattern, and I find it has a good rhythm to it, despite the nupps for the Lily of the Valley pattern.
I'll likely (knocks wood) be done it tomorrow, and will block it over the weekend...

Hi Katherine -- nice to have another podcast from you.
Nice swallowtail -- I must be one of the few who hasn't dodne this yet but it's on my summer list -- maybe during the Olympics!
Looks like you didn't use a huge sized needle -- I'll check your projects in Ravelry and see if you put it up.

Hey, MaryjoO, thanks for stopping by. I'll be putting the details up here on the blog, as well as finally getting my act together and putting some pics on flickr and then adding project details on Ravelry.
I'm thinking 3.5mm needle? I'll double check it when I post details....
